Coinbase executive Conor Grogan has suggested that the mysterious inventor of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto, may own around 1.096 million BTC ($86,354.00), currently worth around $108 billion.

Coinbase Director Says Kraken May Hold Clues to Satoshi Nakamoto's Identity

This estimated fortune would put Nakamoto's paper fortune ahead of that of tech mogul Bill Gates.

According to Grogan, there were 24 recorded transactions from addresses linked to Nakamoto, with the most frequent recipient being CaVirtEx, a now-defunct Canadian cryptocurrency exchange.

Since Kraken acquired CaVirtEx in 2016, Grogan has speculated that Kraken may have important information regarding Nakamoto's identity.

Further analysis suggests that Nakamoto's last known on-chain activity may have occurred in 2014, indicating a long period of inactivity.

The true identity of Bitcoin's inventor remains one of the biggest mysteries in the crypto world, and if Grogan's claims are true, Kraken could be a major player in uncovering the secret behind Bitcoin's origins.

Kraken has yet to respond to these speculations.
