People Are Not Happy About Vitalik Buterin’s Rapping About Ethereum

Ethereum’s Vitalik Buterin has long been known as the “cool” guy among the crypto developers, but his recent action-pumped stage performance is about to change that. During the recent EdCon 2019 Conference, Vitalik took to the stage with a bunch of crypto enthusiasts and wowed the guests with one heck of a rap session promoting Ethereum. In light of that, various crypto fans have come out to give a piece of their mind in regard to the Vitalik’s rap session.
“Poor Marketing Stunt”
To some, the rapping trick doesn’t quite bring out the marketing spirit in Vitalik. They view his stage action as more of a poor marketing stunt. However, the fact that only a handful of the people are critical of Vitalik’s rap game speaks volumes.
Changpeng Zhao Likes It
While some people may not like Vitalik’s way of marketing Ethereum by rapping, others like Binance’s Changpeng Zhao are totally sold to it. In a tweet, CEO Zhao expressed his love for Vitalik’s rap game. He actually said he “kinda like it.” Zhao went on to say that people should be allowed to express their genius selves in doing whatever they like to do, even if it seems weird.
Ethereum Doesn’t Need A Publicity Stunt
Although some may take Vitalik’s stage performance as a kind of publicity stunt to prop up Ethereum, the network’s own performance and popularity is enough to discard that opinion. Ethereum doesn’t need any publicity stunts to be known. It’s already a well-known network in the crypto space. In that sense, Vitalik’s stage action comes off as just a group performance by friendly crypto insiders looking to have some fun.
Not The Only One Or The First
As a matter of fact, Vitalik Buterin isn’t the first influential guy to get involved in some hot stage action. Back in the days during the launch of Windows 95, Microsoft’s Bill Gates took to the stage and danced to “Start Me Up” by Rolling Stones.
