BlockFi has teamed up with Arnold & Porter to make a five-person team which will superintend restrictive and tax program for money service suppliers within the crypto space. Celebrated crypto disposal platform BlockFi has employed lobbyists from Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP to figure on regulatory and tax policy for financial service providers in digital assets, Reuters reported. BlockFi has created a five-person policy team with Arnold & Porter. The team options Arnold & Porter Partner Mark Epley and Kevin O’Neill, the Legislative and Public Policy observe cluster Chair at the law and lobbying firm.



BlockFi is the latest firm that hires lobbyist



By effort the services of Arnold & Porter, BlockFi has become the newest crypto firm to rent lobbyists. Consistent with Epley, Arnold & Porter would facilitate function BlockFi’s alter ego, serving to corporate discuss business interests with lawmakers. He identified that policymakers aren’t inquisitive about hearing from individual players within the market, however lobbyists will help in such talks. Apart from BlockFi, multiple crypto firms are concerned in lobbying. These embody Coinbase, Ripple Labs, Blockchain Association, Stellar Development, Chamber of Digital Commerce, Coincenter, and Coinflip, to say a few.



In 2021, crypto companies spent a walloping $9 million in lobbying activities. Coinbase, Ripple Labs, and Blockchain Association were the highest donors, with Coinbase disbursal $1.5 million. Ripple Labs came next, spending $1.1 million. On the opposite hand, Blockchain Associated compound with $900,000.
