Digital arts group Fingerprints DAO has collaborated with Dutch artist Harm van den Dorpel and German automaker Mercedes-Benz to create a car concept. Release an NFT collection of generative art.

The collection, named ‘Maschine’, is supported by ‘Mercedes-Benz NXT’, the Web3 division of Mercedes-Benz, which was set up to work on digital collectives and virtual experiences.
The collection contains 1000 different Ethereum-based NFTs. The design is inspired by moving tires, and the theme is speed and perception. Sales will start on June 7th in a Dutch auction format (a format that lowers the original price).
According to the tweet, Mercedes-Benz NXT will release three collections planned, developed and managed by the creative studio “0xNXT”. He also plans to do side projects.

Bridging the Gap with Traditional Art
Van den Dorper told CoinDesk that Mercedes-Benz’s focus on innovation and aesthetics led to the creation of this generative art.
“It was an honor to be commissioned and entrusted with creating a truly generative, experimental work of art,” he said, adding, “The technical characteristics that blockchain brings are the benefits of ownership and ownership. It reinforces the fluid nature of digital art of all kinds in terms of history and preservation.”
Fingerprints DAO founder Luiz Ramalho said the collaboration with Mercedes-Benz NXT bridges the gap between the emerging digital art world and the traditional art world.
“There is a chance that the general public, who are largely unaware of developments in the Web3 space, will take notice of such collaborations. It is possible to make people understand that works of art that could not be realized have substance.” (Mr. Ramalho)
