The HashKey Group, which provides digital asset services in Asia, has announced the launch of the HashKey Global Exchange in Bermuda. 



The company, HashKey Group has been granted a license to offer licensed digital asset trading services. Moreover, it also aims to establish one of the world’s largest clusters of licensed exchanges within the next 5 years. The goal is to surpass all current regulated exchanges, according to Livio Weng, COO of HashKey Group. 



Earlier this year, after a fundraising round, the company achieved unicorn status, coming close to meeting its $100 Million fundraising target.



HashKey Global’s Offerings



HashKey Global is currently offering spot trading services for 21 digital assets, including bitcoin (BTC), ether (ETH), Tether’s USDT, and Circle’s USDC, with futures trading product services to be launched within weeks. The exchange plans to introduce futures trading services in the coming weeks.



Livio Weng, COO of HashKey Group, expressed confidence in the company’s ability to surpass Coinbase, stating that they have seen their data and they don’t think that’ll be difficult.



HashKey’s compliant platform offers a smooth user experience, which the company believes gives it an advantage over competitors. According to Weng, most of the major exchanges across the world are either “easy to use but not compliant” or “compliant but hard to use.”



The launch of HashKey Global is a result of the company’s success in Hong Kong, where it runs the local HashKey Exchange. The exchange was approved by the city’s securities regulator last August to cater to retail investors under the city’s new crypto regulatory regime.



HashKey Exchange now has over 170,000 registered users and hosted about US$35 Million in 24-hour trading volume on Monday.



HashKey has decided to base its global exchange in Bermuda, similar to Coinbase, which also secured a license to operate its international exchange in the jurisdiction. Managing Director of HashKey Global, Ben El-Baz, stated that the company looked at various options and found Bermuda’s regulatory regime to be very suitable and good for them to expand from, after seeing Coinbase’s success in Bermuda.



HashKey Global aims to become a significant player in the digital asset trading world. The company plans to offer services such as spot and futures trading, staking services, and a project launchpad, with a focus on regulatory compliance and user-friendly experience.



The crypto market is going through a huge evolution as the companies like HashKey Globals are expanding their services and plans. This current bull run in the market is evident that the investors are showing a lot of confidence in the market. This launch in the middle of this bull run suggests that the short-term tailwind for HashKey Global might be huge.
