Ripple CTO David Schwartz revealed progress on a new “hub server” designed to strengthen the XRP ($2.50) Ledger (XRPL). He confirmed that the system, currently in testing, is stable and nearly ready for production. The hub server aims to keep XRPL nodes better connected, even under stress, which will make the network more resilient.

Strengthening XRPL’s Backbone

Schwartz described the project as his return to managing production infrastructure after a long pause. He called the experience both fun and challenging. The hub server will reinforce XRPL’s backbone, reduce risks of fragmentation, and maintain strong performance as transaction demand grows.

Meanwhile, Schwartz clarified details about a minor glitch within the past 24 hours. He explained that the issue was unrelated to the hub server. Instead, it was a monitoring error that briefly disrupted data visibility. The glitch lasted one minute, yet XRPL continued processing 11,000 requests per second from 173 peers without impact.

Ongoing Improvements in Monitoring

Schwartz confirmed that improvements to the data collector are underway. He assured the community that such incidents will be less likely in the future. Notably, he emphasized that the hub server project remains on schedule.

On the market side, XRP faced renewed selling pressure. The token dropped below the $3 mark and now trades at $2.98, a 4.5% decline in the past 24 hours, according to CoinMarketCap. Trading volume jumped 37.21%, showing that traders are actively exploiting volatility.

XRP is also trading under the 20-day and 50-day moving averages at $3.06 and $3.09. Analyst Ali Martinez noted that failure to reclaim $3 could push the asset lower. He highlighted $2.60 as the next visible support zone.

If XRP closes below $2.60, selling could accelerate toward $2, a significant historical support from June. However, a quick rebound above $3 would improve short-term sentiment. Thus, XRP’s path depends on how strongly bulls defend the $2.60 level in the coming days.
