ChainCatcher 消息，据 Cryptopolitan 报道，知名加密货币顾问、支持 XRP ($2.40) 的律师 John Deaton 宣布，其将作为马萨诸塞州代表，参加 2026 年美国参议院竞选。若共和党人投票支持他，Deaton 将获得该党参选资格，这对其 11 月竞选而言，将是一大助力。与上次竞选不同，加密货币并非其竞选纲领的基础。

该媒体分析称，马萨诸塞州对 Deaton 而言政治环境颇为严峻，该州选民是全美最坚定支持民主党的群体之一。2024年，Deaton 以近 20 个百分点的差距输给了 Warren。
