泰国监管机构要求 World 删除逾 120 万份虹膜扫描数据

ChainCatcher 消息，据 DL News 报道，泰国数据监管机构已下令由 Sam Altman 推动的虹膜扫描项目 World 删除其在泰国收集的超过 120 万条记录。

泰国数字经济与社会部长 Chaichanok Chidchob 表示，个人数据保护委员会（PDPC）还在周一下令该公司暂停其在泰国的所有运营。

在泰国，一个受委托调查 World 是否违反该国数据保护法的专家小组得出结论：以加密货币作为交换而收集生物识别数据，属于违法行为。World 公司已在泰国停止其虹膜扫描业务。
