Ondo Finance has entered a strategic agreement with Chainlink that will see the oracle platform become the data standard for its tokenized stocks and ETFs. The tokenized real-world assets platform announced the initiative on Thursday via a post on its official X page.
The firm, in the statement said the partnership will see Chainlink’s CCIP become the preferred solution for the exploration of the blockchain space by traditional finance giants. More so, Ondo Finance aims to tap into the data infrastructure of Chainlink to ensure that its tokenized assets and ETFs are well-priced, maintaining a good value across different blockchain networks.
The company narrated how Chainlink will offer custom price feeds for every tokenized equity to ensure resilient market data. According to the announcement, the data feeds combine all economic and corporate action events including dividends, while delivering a comprehensive evaluation on-chain.
As part of the synergy, Chainlink now joins the Ondo Global Market Alliance, supporting the increasing relevance of tokenized assets. Additionally, two partners with their infrastructures intend to guide more traditional finance firms to the blockchain market.
Ondo Finance added that the partnership is a major milestone in the evolution of digital finance due to how it unlocks more utility and fast-tracks corporate adoption. It is worth mentioning that the partnership emanated shortly after Ondo Finance completed the takeover of Oasis Pro.
How the collaboration will strengthen the tokenized assets sector
Furthermore, the statement stated that the Ondo Global Markets is the biggest platform that brings stocks & ETFs on-chain on a large scale. The firm announced that the Ondo Global Markets has more than 100 tokenized assets already live, holding above $300 million in total value locked (TVL).
Meanwhile, the CEO and founder of Ondo Finance, Nathan Allman said the partnership indicates the convergence of traditional and decentralized finance in real time. Allman opined that the support of Chainlink as the project’s official oracle infrastructure for Ondo Finance’s tokenized assets will ensure that they are composable on all DeFi and corporate rails.
Also, the co-founder of Chainlink, Sergey Nazarov said the tokenization of real-world assets is a new trend in global market operations. The executive illustrated that Ondo Finance is redefining how traditional finance assets operate on-chain.
Nazarov established that firms like Ondo Finance are providing more solutions to make TradFi investment instruments globally accessible.
